Snow Plowing
Plowing your driveway – Snow should be placed to the right side of your driveway as you are facing the street. This will prevent the bulk of the snow from being pushed back into your driveway. Snow should never be placed in the street as this creates hazardous driving conditions and causes the City’s snow plow to push it back in front of your driveway.
The City of Elkins will plow the streets in a specific order to ensure that emergency vehicles can navigate through the City; main roads will be plowed first.
Removal of Snow/Ice from Sidewalks
The City of Elkins would like to remind business owners and citizens of their responsibility to remove snow and ice from their sidewalks.
