5. CONSENT CALENDAR – Proposed minutes of the regular meetings of July 5, 2007.
6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
a. Proposed Ordinance 063, adjusting the water rate tariff, will be considered at a future meeting.
7. NEW BUSINESS
a. Approval of a recommendation to appropriate $5,000 of uncommitted Hotel Occupancy Tax to assist the Elkins Parks and Recreation Commission in replacement of a backstop at Bluegrass Park.
b. Authorization to increase the permanent staffing level of water transmission and distribution personnel by three full-time employees to constitute a utility mainline replacement crew.
c. Authorization to execute capital lease/purchase agreements necessary to finance new equipment for a water utility mainline replacement crew.
d. Approval of an adjustment to the monthly expense reimbursement paid to the custodian of flood control-related infrastructure.
e. Waiver of competitive bid requirements to acquire a new Ford Crown Victoria police cruiser at State Bid price.
f. Authorization to execute a capital lease/purchase agreement necessary to acquire a new police cruiser.
g. New traffic lights for Davis Avenue.
h. Filling of an entry-level position in the police department by the reinstatement of former police officer Jeffery D. Roy.
8. COMMITTEE REPORTS
a. Building – Building permit applications 3365 thru 3379, application 3374 being void. Application 3296 remains unconsidered.
9. MAYOR’S COMMENTS AND OTHER BUSINESS
a. Zoning Form to obtain a WVABC License submitted by Glen Wyland and Scott Robinson on behalf of Elkins Jaycees, Inc. at 929 S. Davis Avenue.
